August 10, 2021 would go down as another milestone in the history of Summit University, Offa, when it hosted Mrs. Mosun Belo Olusoga, the donor of the part of the University’s College Building which is named after the parents of the donor, Mbasir and Basirat. The highly elated Mrs. Belo-Olusoga was welcomed into the venue of the reception by the equally elated women of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Offa Branch.
Also on hand to receive the donor were, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. H.O.B. Oloyede represented by Prof. Moshood LanreNassar, the outgone Bursar, Dr. F.A. Lasisi, the Ag. Registrar, Mall. Mustapha Kadiri, Staff, Students and other members of the Offa branch of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria led by Alhaji Zakariyau Ayantola.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. H.O.B. Oloyede profusely thanked Mrs. Mosun Belo Olusoga for her generosity in donating the gigantic edifice to the University, which he described as unprecedented.
He said apart from adding beauty to the Campus, the building would also ease some logistic problems confronting the University and pledged to use the building for the purposes for which it was built.
Alhaja Mosun Belo-Olusoga who could not hide her joy and surprise for the reception expressed profound appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and members of Offa branch of the Society for the wonderful reception accorded her and members of her entourage.
She said the building was part of her own little contributions to the growth and development of Summit University, Offa and to immortalize her late parents. She urged the Management, Staff and Students to make judicious use of the complex to advance learning and research.
Highlights of the occasion include: Ewi rendition, Goodwill messages from the representatives of the Olofa and Students and a special prayer for Mrs. Mosun Belo Olusoga by the Missioner of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Offa branch, Alhaji Kamaldeen Akepe.
