GRAIN's Inspiring Visit to MOMAS EPAIL: A Leap Toward Nigeria’s Tech Future
The Group for Research, Advancement, and Innovation Networking (GRAIN), led by Prof. Abiodun Musa Aibinu, Vice Chancellor of Summit University, Offa, embarked on a transformative visit to MOMAS EPAIL MIC LTD. The trip, filled with eye-opening experiences, deepened GRAIN’s passion for innovation and technological advancement.
Engaging Discussions and Drone Technology
The visit began with an engaging session with AVM Abdulganiy Olabisi (RTD), who shared insights on contributing to society through technology. The team explored drone technology, observing complex drone test runs and learning about their design, specifications, and applications from Engineer Albright. A highlight was witnessing 3D-printed drone components and locally produced Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), with the PCB lab head patiently explaining the intricate process.
Hands-On Experience with Electric Vehicles
The team also gained hands-on experience with Electric Vehicles (EVs), complementing their prior online coursework. Driving a quiet, emission-free EV offered a practical understanding of this technology, contrasting with traditional Internal Combustion Engines. Safety was emphasized throughout, with reminders like “Safety First, Safety Always.”
Exceptional Hospitality and University Commitment
MOMAS EPAIL’s hospitality, from accommodation to meals, was exceptional, earning a 10/10 rating. Summit University’s commitment to initiatives like the DELitE project, women in AI and STEM, and its 7 transformative skills framework continues to empower students for global impact.
Looking Ahead
GRAIN expresses gratitude to MOMAS EPAIL and looks forward to future collaborations, inspired to advance Nigeria’s technological landscape.
